  Class Rules

I will be TRUSTWORTHY  (honest, loyal and keep my promises)

I will be RESPECTFUL (good manners, good listener and considerate)

I will be RESPONSIBLE (work hard and make good choices)

I will be FAIR (take turns, share and solve problems)

I will be CARING (be kind and help others)

I will be a GOOD CITIZEN (cooperate and do my share)

During the month of August, we will learn about each of the Pillars. Starting in September, we will focus on one a month. Parents will have the opportunity to share how their child has demonstrated the Pillar with the class. Using the same vocabulary at home on a daily basis, will help reinforce the Pillars of Character.

             Behavior Plan        
Our classroom will run on a jungle discipline plan. Each child will have a monkey with his or her name on it. All monkeys will start on a Green leaf of the jungle vine. If a rule is not followed, a warning will be given. If the rule continues to not be followed, the child's monkey will be moved to a Blue leaf and the child will sit in the reflection chair for 5 minutes. If the negative behavior continues, the monkey will be moved to a Yellow leaf and the child will reflect for 10 minutes and a note will be sent home. If the negative behavior continues, the monkey will move to the Red leaf, the child will complete a reflection writing assignment and a note will be sent home. Any further negative behavior will result in removal from the classroom or a referral to the Principal or Assistant Principal.
