About Mrs. Downs 

Welcome to our first grade classroom! My name is Noelle Downs and I was born in New Jersey, but moved to Scottsdale, AZ when I was six. I completed my undergraduate teaching degree at Grand Canyon University and my Masters and Reading Specialist Endorsement at Northern Arizona University. I have been teaching Kindergarten and first grade for fourteen years now. I taught a multiage classroom of kindergarten and first graders for 7 years in Scottsdale, got married and moved West! I went on to teach all day Kindergarten in Litchfield and Dysart for 4 years and I have taught first grade at Canyon Ridge the past two years. I've been married to a hockey finatic named Jason for 7 years and have one daughter, named Brooke. She is one year old. We also have two dogs named Emmy and Conway. My favorite place to be is on the beach in Cabo San Lucas or Coronado Island. 
I love strawberry smoothies, Passion Tea and Lemonade from Starbuck's, pizza, pasta (probably because I am full blooded Italian) and chocolate chip cookies. 

I am very excited to be a Cougar at "The Ridge" and have never met a finer staff of teachers and administration! Please join me on this fabulous journey and help me keep the lines of communication open. Excellence above all!
